I grew up bilingual in London with a French mother and spent my university years between Oxford and Paris, earning a Master's in French and Linguistics from the University of Oxford. I have been teaching French privately for eight years, working with students aged twelve through to adult professionals.
My teaching is communicative first: I want students speaking French from the very first lesson. Grammar and vocabulary are woven into real conversations, role-plays, and cultural discussions rather than taught in isolation. I draw heavily on authentic materials - podcasts, newspaper articles, films, and songs - to keep lessons engaging and relevant.
I prepare students for GCSE, A-level, DELF/DALF, and university entrance interviews. I also work with professionals who need French for business or relocation. My lessons are structured but flexible, always adapting to the pace and interests of the individual learner.
Having lived in both countries for extended periods, I understand the cultural nuances that textbooks miss. My students do not just learn to conjugate verbs - they learn to think and express themselves in French.

“Patient and encouraging, even when I struggled with the basics. Never made me feel judged. Genuinely invested in my progress.”
“The best maths tutor I have ever had. Clear explanations, challenging exercises, and a knack for making difficult concepts click. Five stars easily.”
