David Hewitt

I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over fourteen years of tutoring experience. Before becoming a full-time tutor, I worked in corporate finance for a decade, which gives me a practical understanding of how accounting and financial theory apply in the real world.

I specialise in professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AAT) and university-level accounting, finance, and economics modules. I also teach A-level Economics and Business Studies. My students benefit from my ability to explain complex financial concepts with real-world examples from my career in industry.

My approach is methodical and exam-focused. I understand the marking schemes, I know which topics carry the most weight, and I teach efficient techniques for tackling exam-style questions under time pressure. But I also ensure students genuinely understand the underlying principles, because surface-level learning does not survive exam stress.
